Dr. Yonca Cam is a neuroscientist specializing in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, with over eight years of experience in research, project management, and scientific communication. Her academic work focuses on neurobiology, motivational systems, reward circuitry, addiction mechanisms, and neuroimaging.
She has designed and led more than ten independent research projects and has trained and mentored over twenty research assistants. Dr. Cam has multiple publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has presented her work at prestigious scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience.
She currently manages neuroimaging research within the Departments of Neurology and Pediatric Hematology at Washington University in St. Louis. She has formal training and applied experience in clinical research operations, FDA regulations, and medical regulatory affairs.
Within MOGAD Solidarity Foundation, she contributes to maintaining scientific rigor, ethical standards, and evidence-based practices. Her work supports the development of patient-centered and research-informed support models.
Dr. Cam earned her PhD. in Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Missouri, her M.S. in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences from Illinois State University, and her B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University.
