FOUNDERS

Sinem Mardi

Sinem Mardi is a fashion designer and creative director whose career encompasses haute couture design, international exhibitions, and bespoke handcrafting. After studying textile technology and design at university, she established and managed her own fashion studio early in her career, leading in collection development, client relations, and creative direction.

Throughout her professional journey, she has participated in five international fashion fairs and organized three independent fashion shows. She has designed hundreds of haute couture garments and is known for her attention to detail, technical precision, and personalized design approach. A founding member of the Izmir Fashion Designers Association, Sinem has been involved in social responsibility projects with the Turkish Red Crescent and the TEMA Foundation.

Following the Izmir earthquake, she moved to London, where she expanded her work internationally, gaining opportunities to participate in high-profile projects and contribute to the production processes of designs. Her creative background combines artistic vision with strategic execution; this foundation shapes her leadership approach.

In 2023, Sinem was diagnosed with MOGAD (Myelin Oligadentrocyt Glycoprotein Antibody-Associated Disease), a rare neurological disorder, which forced her to take a break from her fashion career. Turning her personal challenges into a purpose, she founded the MOGAD Solidarity Foundation to raise global awareness, advocate for patient support, and contribute to research visibility.

She also developed the MOGAD Collection brand, not only to create a sustainable funding model for the foundation but also as a creative platform to draw international attention to the disease. Inspired by neuroimmunological processes and pathological structures, this initiative blends science with aesthetic interpretation, positioning design as a tool for awareness and change; aiming to bring together art, advocacy, and social impact.
